Allen and Nancy
have been involved with basketry for almost two decades. In that time they
have traveled extensively studying the basketry of the cultures they have
visited. Both are experienced basket makers and have taught basketry on
the West Coast for many years. In 1985 they opened Allen's Basketworks
to meet the growing need for suppliers of quality basketry materials. The
business has expanded rapidly from its modest retail beginnings to a retail/wholesale
- import firm.
